Before shipping your items, you must enter a customs description and value for each item in your outgoing shipment. You are responsible for making sure this information is complete and accurate.

How to fill out the customs declaration

  1. Select the items you want to ship.
  2. Click “New Parcel”
  3. Complete the Customs Declaration section.
  4. Enter the description, quantity, and value for each item.

If your shipment contains different items, you can add additional entries by clicking “Add line.” You can also edit or remove entries by clicking “x.” If your shipments are unpacked, you’ll see a photo of each item, which can help you enter the correct description and value.

Writing a good item description

Describe items in general terms and avoid specific brand names.
Examples:

  • Good: “Tablet computer”
  • Not recommended: “Apple iPad”

For shoes and clothing, some countries require more detail. Include the type of shoe and the material of the upper and sole.
Example:

  • Good: “Men’s sneakers, leather upper, rubber sole”
  • Not recommended: “Shoes”

If you’re unsure what to write, check the product description on the store’s website.
Please note that customs declarations must be written in English.
